If you had the budget? I know that one is a mid-size, and the other is a compact, and I've test-driven both, but want to hear advice based on experience with the two cars. Thanks,

I am graduating from college this year but am planning on doing a 1-year graduate program. I had my own car that my parents bought me but it was totalled in a freak accident. They purchased a new car with the insurance money and I got my dad's old car. Technically, the car I have is supposed to go to my brother and since we won't be living together next year one car between the two of us won't work. Most car loans I have looked at have an immediate income requirement and unless someone "holds" a job for me while I'm in grad school the most I will have is $300 a month in income. I am thinking of trying to take out extra money via student loans since this will be a "necessary" expense for my schooling. Any ideas/suggestions?

Women purchase half of the vehicles sold in the United States each year, spending over $80 billion. Yet, shopping for and buying a car can be a challenge for women who are first time car buyers or for women who had a bad experience in the past with a car salesman or dealership.

Was your last car buying experience an enjoyable experience?

I live in Texas and have to commute/drive up tp 50 miles total a day. I had a job previously that gave me a company car. (i lost it)...now I have a new job, and have a small amount of cash to work with, and do not want a car payment. I'd prefer to buy a car in cash upfront so I can minimize my monthly car payment options, but obviously, I dont want a car that is going to poop out on me and cost me thousands of dollars in repairs. Does anyone know what kind of car, model, year etc that I should buy that they have used or seen someone else use with relative reliability? Thank you!

How much can I afford, in order to finance a car? I'm asking what's the limit to how much I can spend towards a car. I'm 24 years old, and I have a steady job. My credit should be good, though I do not have a credit card.

OK so i bought a car from a used car dealer and i drove the car home, then i left again to go to the store and on my way back home the gears start to slip and it will cost me a few thousand to fix so i took the car back the following monday (because i bought the car on a satuday and they were closed on sunday) before the check cleared and asked for the check back and he said no and he still has my check so i have a freeze on my account which means any other checks i wrote will be returned and on top of everything he threatened to take ME to court!! Can he do this when he has the vehicle and the check??? is he legally obligated to give the check back?? can I get in trouble for this??please help me!!!!!

I bought a car through a broker and got a decent deal. The broker picked up the car from the dealership and I picked it up from his company parking lot after I paid the deposit in cash (received receipt) and signed the contract. A month later, the dealership contacted me saying the check broker wrote to the dealership for my deposit is bad and threathened to take my car back unless I pay the deposit (again). They were asking me for the deposit because the broker apparently committed fraud and vanished after emptied out his accounts.

Isn't there a regulation that protects comsumers from this type of incidents? As the dealership say, am I reliable for the deposit again since it was my agent working for me.

My fiance just bought a 03 vibe. His credit is bad after his divorce a couple years ago. We just found out that the bank charged us $4500 extra on a 13,000 loan (we put $2000 down) for his bad credit! We weren't told this by the dealer when we bought the car. Have you heard of a bank charging an outrageous fee like this, and are they even allowed? I live in Pennsylvania.

I'm having a hard time posting up ads on Craigslist and some other car sites for free. If I listed my car on Ebay, even though I still have a note on it does Ebay charge you for that? Also what are some other ways to get rid of a car you still have a note on? Any advice will be much appreciated. If you're interested in the details of what type of car it is email me at qmilburn@yahoo.com Thanks.
