I purchased all my cars by myself and enjoyed purchasing each one. It can be a headache having a salesman jumping in front of your face as you walk in, but i get through it ok. I come from a family that loves cars and it has rubbed off on me too. I make informed, knowledgeable decisions on the car i buy by looking at economy, engine reliability, safety features and wind resistance.

My last purchase was last year - a Toyota Rav4 that cost me 19grand. Salesmen do believe women are gullible and think they have no bargaining techniques....well they got that wrong when they met me.

I took the car for a test drive, looked at the engine, checked the inside, the paintwork, the registration left on the car. They were trying to sell it off for 22,000. I told them if they gave it to me for 19 i would take it on the spot. (it had little rego and had some rock flick marks on the front bonnet). No probs, they gave it to me for 3 thousand less than the asking price.

Women need to learn their cars, when and if their being trapped out and they must learn how to bargain....never take the sign price...it works on women nearly every single time.

I wouldn't buy a car without a guy there... I find salesmen to be creapy most of the time. I also can't tell the difference between a good motor and a screwed one. I can't see rust and I can't tell if a panel has been bogged... So, as I said... I need my lovely hubby to do the buying for me....
