I just bought a car privately about a month ago. I never went to change ownership at the DMV yet. Now I want to sell it because I have a financial emergency and need some money NOW. Am I going to have a problem selling it? Any information will help me. Thanks

I'm researching as much as possible for my new car. Are there any major faults with this car??? Will I be able to get a fairly good family car for budget up to £2000? I need something with low fuel consumption.

Its a SRT10 Hardtop and paper says its $79,999. Just curious cause all other vehicles are marked under $25,000 at this certain dealership.

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S with 26k on it. The reason I'm thinking of selling it and getting a cheaper car is that I don't really use the car to its full potential. The car is great, but I'm single with no kids. I use it primarily just to drive from point A to point B. I can afford to make the payments, but would rather lower my costs and put the money towards other things. Right now its worth about 14-15k and I owe about 18k on my loan.
I'm also mechanically inclined and could handle buying a 4-5 year old car in the 6-8k range and doing the maintenance and repair as it needs it.

Is there another car better than the Camry that is under 30 thousand dollars?

If you're going to put all that money into a car, why wouldn't you want to keep it?

I don't get it!

Trying to buy a 2002 Honda from a private party. Everything looks good. It's a certified/pre-owned vehicle and the seller is saying the 7 year/100K mile powertrain warranty is transferable to the new buyer. He doesn't have any documentation for the warranty (just had a sticker on the window of the car when he bought it) but he spoke with the Honda dealership (their central location) and they said it indeed is transferable to the new buyer at no cost but there is some paperwork since they need the car's papers to process the request. Any thoughts/experience with the power train warranty transfer? Thanks!

I'm looking for a statistic from a reliable source. "At any given time, there are X consumers shopping for a car (intend to buy within 30 days) in the United States." This could be derived from other statistics - for example, how many cars sold in any year combined with population, combined with some assumption around how long consumers shop for a car.

If you purchase a car from a private party (vs. a dealer), the party probably takes the tags off right after the car is sold. How do you drive it back home then without tags? Moreover, is there a way you can add insurance to the car before you take it out of the seller's garage?
