not somewhere specific, like route 202, or something, just something general. Like for a winding road sign, you would see it on a winding road.

the Oil warning light after a minute or so, it comes on despite driving. Then the engine makes a noise like an old bus. Or post man pats van trying to struggle up a huge big hill. The car when driving starts to slow down. Had the RAC come and tow me home and suggested it could be an oil pump but there other things that might be wrong instead. The main problem he assured me was the pressure, presuming oil pressure. The engine noise and light don't come on every time only after a few minutes of ticking over but still its not the best purr. Ever since being towed home i'm at a loss as he told me not to use the car. I would like an idea so i could decide what to do with the car. Don't fancy paying out for a mechanic just yet plus don't really have the cash. Thought about having ago my self

I bought 2 identical 1993 bayou 220 from a freind not running got one running good. The other will start fine if you give it a little gas or spray some starting fluidin the carb and then willrun but you have 2 hold the throttle in a little bit. The carb has been rebuilt professionaly. it also back fires once in a while out the carb back into the air box. i need 2 know the factory settings for the side mounted carb adjustment and the one on the bottom. that would help me out greatly any other info would be appreciated

I have a sealed chassis so I don't have to lubricate the chassis or suspension. But as far as door handles and other hinges go, can I use WD-40 or do I need some type of auto-grade oil/grease?

I had a 2004 G35 with the Brembos/6-spd and loved it. ...but, it was way too heavy and expensive. What can I buy with a 2+2 configuration under 3000 pounds. Although it's FWD, I'm considering a Civic Si.

Mark said re interruptions during checklists; --Happens all the time. Calls from ATC. Calls from other aircraft. Calls from company. Altitude callouts. Configuration commands.
The distraction research used cameras to watch what car drivers were actually doing.
Pilots are trained much better than car drivers but human factors/failures are critical to both road & air safety.

Airlines:
1 - Pilots should enter through another hatch - the cockpit should be completely sealed off - no one gets in or out unless it's on the ground.

2 - If terrorists should be found on board, the pilots should override the oxygen masks dropping and depressurize the plane just enough so everyone goes unconscious - like in the Stephen King movie "The Langoliers"

WHO CAN I WRITE TO THAT WILL TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AND GET IT DONE?

I've had this car for not quite 2 months and I hear all sorts of noises when I apply the brakes. Today, it was a loud whistle when I was backing out of the garage. Other times it's a grating metalic noise. The dealership has replaced the rotors and struts, then told me the car was safe, they never hear the noises I do. They tell me that I just needed to drive it and let the car get seated. Am I being fed a line?

I am looking to purchase a used (2-3 years old) BMW 3 series sedan. From what I've seen most did not come equipped with factory navigation. How easy is it to add an after market in-dash navigation system? I don't care for the after market portable nav systems. I currently own a 2D G35 and adding an in dash nav system has proved more difficult than anticipated. For various reasons I wont get into it is a real pain to add an in dash system to my curent vehicle. Thanks in advance for your help on this issue.

Today when I was driving home about 20 miles away, my car had made a few thumping noises. Then I had no heat and my car was starting to get hot. My digital clock kept dimming, until I couldn't see it. I could not use my headlights, my charge kept falling until it was zero. Also, the steering wheel was very tight and hard to turn. Eventually, I made it on my street, turned on to my driveway, a beeping alarm went off and then a ticking.
Now I know I shouldn't have been driving that far with it that hot but I needed to get it closer to the garage I'm going to take it to. It also smelled like something was burning and it was smoking. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT'S WRONG?

OK guys, just picked up a 94 1500 4x4 with the 318 automatic for $500 (212k miles)

The guy said it just stopped accelerating, it would idle and then when you'd hit the gas, it would die or just not move any faster than it was idling.

So far I've tested the spark, fuel pressure, map sensor, throttle sensor, played with timing, swapped ECUs and havent found the culprit yet (lost daylight)

Basically what its doing to me now is it sometimes starts mostly only when I have my foot on the floor. Then it basically idles... but smells super rich.

any ideas popping in anyones head tonight?

I was driving out of my apt. complex when my brake light came on. It was not my ABS brake light. This one just said BRAKE. I was able to drive back to my complex without any problems and my brakes seemed fine. Is the problem with my emergency brakes or the entire brake system. I haven't driven the car since, but the car is my life. Does this sound serious?
