I have an 80 chevy truck, 4 sp. man., sag transfer case, 4x4.
whenever I push in the clutch pedal, or whenever I push on the gas and let off fast, there is a clunking coming from underneath the truck. fluids are all good, what should I check next, thanks.

i have a 1997 gmc safari and it will not start in the cold or wet weather it will fire up when it is warm or dry now that winter is here do you think i can get it started ? what the hell is wrong with this thing...any answers are welcome...battery is good aswell and getting sparke .

I just bought a new car and there was a scratch on the bumper. i dropped it off this morning at 730 to have the bumper repainted. the dealership said it would be ready to pick up at 4:30. does that seem right? for some reason i thought paint had to dry longer before you drove it

I have a 1989 Saab 900 and a portion of my catalytic converter (next to my exhaust pipe) has rusted off. Is it a safe temporary fix to attach the piece together with duct tape? I would like to replace the part, but I'll have to wait till I have some extra money.

I have been considering the Power Pak from Banks Engineering (with Compression brake), for my 99 Cummins 24 valve. With automatic tranny.
Does any one out there have any personal experience with this modification, and will it void the remaining engine waranty on my Deisel engine?

Our friend has invented a spill proof bottle cap for a quart of motor oil, and we want him to market it to oil companies such as Pennzoil or Quaker State. I want to know what you think. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Last night I was backing out of the driveway and my brakes just died. And then my brake light came on. I had noticed a little during the day that I was having to really pump or slam on my brakes to get to a stop at my normal rate. Does this most likely mean that I'm low on brake fluid or that the brakes themselves are shot? Anyone? If the brakes are shot, can anyone offer a ballpark on how much it would cost to fix them?

i have a weird problem where my cars sterio system is on when my car is off and drains my battery. (audio doesnt even work period) i know the fix is to disconnect and reconnect the battery, im mostly interested in knowing whether you can be shocked disconnecting using a metal wrench. thanks in advance.

i live in illinois and the winters are harsh i guess. But is it worth it to get a remote starter. Can't i just start the car and drive right away because the engine heats up faster that way anyway? or what is the main reason of a remote starter?

I bought a used car from a dealership in NY. Within a month, it broke down twice when I was in Boston. Obviously I could not tow the car back to NY to be fixed by them, so I had it fixed in Boston, all the while informing then in NY what happened. Is the dealer in NY reponsible under the Lemon Law to reimburse me even though Ihad it fixed in Boston? Thank you.

This summer I replaced the water pump in my Bravada, while I had the pump out, I flushed out the radiator and the pump openings. Once the weather started getting cold I found I had no heat. I took the hoses off the heater core and flushed it out. A lot of rusty looking water came out so I continued to flush it until it ran clear. After this I had heat for about a day and a half and then it went away again. I have tried flusing the heater core again, but cannot get the heat back, any suggestions?

Okay.... so this morning on the way to work I came to a 3 way intersection where each side has a stop sign and the only traffic was me and a couple of cars coming from the opposite direction. The 1st car from the opposite direction was clearly stopped a second before me so I let it go. I started into my left hand turn when the car I let go was just pass the halfway point through the intersection when all of a sudden the 2nd car decided to attempt to blast through before me. I hit my gas pedal and lunged at the second car causing them to almost hit a telephone pole while avoiding me. Was I wrong?

I bought a used car from a dealer in California, in 2006, yesterday we went to trade it in and they ran a carfax report, come to find out there is frame damage on our car. When we bought the car we asked them if it had ever been in an accident, they said no. It was not under warranty or certified. Do I have any legal recourse? I would have never bought the car if i knew there was frame/structual damage to it.


Additional Details


I went and talked to the dealer, he offered to pay the rest of my $8500 loan off, get me a new car with no money down. What do you think?
