Don't bother with nitrogen fill, it won't make much difference. Store it in a cool dry location, out of the light, part inflated (10 psi~) and supported by the wheel so that there isn't any weight on the tyre. When you need it you might want to change the valve before re-inflating it and then check it is still fitted evenly on the rim.

Keep it away from heat and light, especially ultraviolet light/sunlight - these will perish the rubber quickly. Also, keep it sealed in plastic to keep air away, as this will dry out the rubber. I'd suggest giving it a coat of Armorall before storing it to keep the rubber supple (not too much, you don't want to soak it) and let out almost all the air, leaving about 5-10lb of pressure so that it keeps its shape. Changing the air for nitrogen is a great idea, but I wouldn't know how to find some. Do all this, and it should come out in the same sondition as it went in.

Good luck!

normally in the boot but you may need it in three days if you get a flat tyre so do not worry about storing it for three years you will be very lucky if you do not use it in three years..

FILL IT WITH NITROGEN.

Nitrogen will not degrade the interior rubber of the tire or corrode the wheels, since it contains no oxygen or water vapor -- both present in the atmosphere we breathe and pump into our tires.
