...straight over the top of the existing coat of paint? That is, without any sanding back.

I recently resprayed a few sections of the car after filling in some dents and I am unhappy about the finish because the resprayed paint does not perfectly match the existing paint. I want to sell the car soon but this will be a major set back.

Therefore, I was hoping it would be possible, and someone would be willing to drive it into a paint booth, respray it, then drive it back out and bob's your uncle.

Any chance of this being possible?

Thanks

I recently had a fire in the engine compartment in my 1982 El Camino Conquista, and it basically destroyed that whole area. Is it even possible to replace all the electrical in that area and replace the engine for a reasonable price?

My father, who lives in Vienna, bought a 2007 BMW but doesn't want the car. I would like him to ship it to me here in Philadelphia. What do I need to do to make this happen? I realize I have to hire an international shipping company, but in order to get it registered in the United States, is that complicated? Anyone with any information on not only the best company to use for shipping the car but also what is required to get it registered in the United States, that would be great. Just FYI, I am an American citizen and have car insurance already registered. Thanks so much.

After buying a used car from a private party, how do i purchase insurance if the title has not been transferred yet? I'm planning on switching to Geico. But, before i can purhase their policy, the title has to be under my name. For the title to be under my name, i need to transfer it to me; however, i need proof of insurance for this. HELP please. I need some answers.

As some of you know, I worked for a small railroad in New York. I moved out of state and got a warehouse job, but I want to keep my hand in the railroad game. There's a shortline in the area that told me, "Hey, we could use some weekend crews. Come by and fill out an application."

Well, I gave them my resume loaded with seven years of experience and a clean record, along with some really strong references. I've been calling them for weeks, unable to get a response on the status of my application. Tomorrow morning I'm going to play the rest of my cards and just walk in there, and I'm not sure what to expect. I know a background check doesn't take four weeks, and I know for fact they're shorthanded. What could be their reason for not contacting me again? Call me frustrated, but sheesh.

Would it have a turbine, piston, or Wankel engine? Would it have an F1 type transmission or some variety of CVT? Would it have a full body or be open wheel?

Many thanks to all the responses to my previous posts. I have a followup question or two for engineers or helicopter buffs.
Would a small jet engine, mounted horizontally and suitably armored, in the tail provide enough thrust, be throttleable and be available to power up to full throttle in a matter of seconds to offset LTR. I've seen small jets offered by various companies for models that produce around 100 pounds of thrust and weigh only around 30-35 pounds. You could incorporate existing fuel lines from the main engine to run them and develop a system of control that is either determined by existing pedal inputs or a backup system of hand control or computerized input in conjunction with a gyroscopic mechanism as found on the wheeled single-person transport of the Segway and others. It appears that most LTR situations offer a measure of warning for a pilot to initiate the backup system. All responses welcome and thanks again.

this time when i added oil my front cylinder went from 75 to 150 psi and my rear cylinder went from 120 to 150psi so now i'm thinking it's the rings and not the valves... but then i wonder if i could have added so much oil that the piston splashed oil up around the valves masking any weakness / leaks in the valve ?

Hi, I just got financed by a car company..not a major company like, ford, honda..or anything like that but a local car dealership. It took a month but they finally apporved my financing...this is my fist car and I was wondering...what do I need to get my tag...I thought they were going to mail me something...but I haven't received anything. Do you get your title before you finish paying it off or after you finish paying it off....I also talked to someone that I know that sells cars and they said the tag office should have my information and to call them....Is that correct? Im going to call the dealership but I just wanted to ask in the meantime...

When changing to low gear and back again on automatic transmission cars, is it okay to keep the foot on the gas pedal or should it be removed during the change? Is either way okay?
