In NYC the cash fare is $2.00. 1 free transfer is allowed from bus to bus only on a cash fare (within 2 hours)

If the MetroCard fare card is used then you get a free transfer (Subway to bus or bus to bus - within 2 hours).

If $10.00 or more is put on the MetroCard then you get a 20% bonus which adds 1 ride to the card. That effectively reduces the cost per ride to $1.67

Norman, Oklahoma - Buses are free for students since the operating costs are factored into our tuition costs. I can ride the bus whenever and wherever I want. :)
