My mother is handicap and there are no handicap spots near my condo. There are not even handicap spots anywhere in the neighborhood and the nearest regular parking spot is about 50 yds away. Those spots are usually full so the next option is street parking which is at least 200 yds away. My mom can not walk that far. She at times pulls up to our house to unload toys for the kids or to pick up something from us...she doesn't turn the car off, puts her emergency lights on and is on her way in under 5 min. Our home owner's association has fined us twice ($150 each time) for her doing this. We've asked them where else can she park and why can't she just briefly load or unload considering her condition? They won't respond and now they've fined us again except this time it was so I could load a huge exersaucer toy into her trunk for her to take home. I don't understand what the big deal is but is there any laws about disabled persons being allowed to load and unload in no parking zones?

I've heard the seat-belt logic already. If I choose not to wear a seat-belt, it would never effect other motorists. If I choose not to wear a helmet, it could effect other motorists. How? If I was driving my motorcycle, without a helmet, and a stone (or something) hits me in the face/head and causes me to lose control and drift into the opposing lane/traffic, doesn't my "choice" effect someone elses life now?

I am wanting to get a Honda CRV, and just spent some time online looking at a lot of them. There were 4WDs and 2WDs, and the 2WDs were cheaper. Right now, I live in Houston, TX, but I am planning on moving to Colorado some time within the next year. Would a 4WD come in handy in Colorado for some reason??? I have just never understood the big deal about a 4WD (can you tell I'm a female?). Can someone please educate me? Thanks!!!

I didn't know removing my window tint of my rear window could damage my rear defroster. I do know now how to properly remove the tint. But I used a razorblade to remove all my tint and now my rear defroster doesnt work. Is there any way I can fix this problem?

I've seen some answers related to the topic, but my quesiton is a little bit different.

Supposing you're running your engine on 3rd gear with 3000 rpm(doing 60km/h), and 5th gear with 3000 rpm(doing 90 km/h). thereotically you consume similiar amount of fuel.

my question is that if I skip the gear four and run the engine on 5th gear, (ignoring the loss of power), do I save some gas? The speed will be the same but the RPM would be less on gear 5.

Okay, I have a Viper 150 quad, and my belt is bad, because it will not go forward, it will but not up a hill. So, I check the spark, chain, and found nothing obvious. I asked someone, and they said, check the V-Belt.

Where is that!?

What do I take off?

Where is the belt at?

Where is the transmission at?
I'm sooo bad on four wheelers. I have aYamaha TT-R230, and my sisters have the four wheeler. I can take my whole dirt bike apart, put it back together, but I can't do it to the fourwheeler.
That is why I need a picture, or a diagram.

Can you please help?

Thanks

I have spent between $300-$600 on maintaining my 05 Camry. Is this too much? Are there any good but not too expensive mechanics in the New York Tristate area?

I have been researching possibly buying a used/pre-owned motorcycle. I love Harley Davidsons like the Sportster and the 1200 series, but man are they expensive and I heard very high maintenance. I have heard that Hondas and Yamahas in the higher powered models are easier to maintain and cheaper to service. What is your opinion on owning a bike and what is your preference. Still, there is nothing like that Harley sound when it's cranked up on the freeway. Thanks

Today, I saw a woman that I am guessing was in her middle 20's driving in the left lane of a 40 mph speed limit two lane road going 50mph with BOTH hands off the wheel while she was doing her hair. In astonishment I passed her and I looked in my rear view mirror and she was on a cellphone. I am not sure if she was on the cellphone while she had both hands tending to her hair but I certainly would not rule that out.

Has anybody seen women do this before, driving on a straight-away with both hands fixing their hair and only adjusting the steering wheel every so often when she started to drift off the road instead of just waiting for a red light?

Hi guys..
I am planning on buying my very first car. I just need your opinion and/or advice on what I should do. I have found a used 91 Toyota Corolla, reliable but ugly- needs shocks, paint job, exhaust, fix AC and grill. Its only $500. Should I go ahead and buy it, and fix it up OR just go to a dealership for a newer and nicer car and just pay the monthly payment?
What would you do? Thanks!

I am having a issue with my car that I would like to see if anyone could help identify. Its my project car, so I am in no hurry to pay a mechanic to look at it. The car is a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am. Occasionally when I go to start the car, it just clicks once and thats it. The accessories power and lights do not die or flicker, the radio doesn't reset, and the battery gauge still shows power. However the power gauge is probably a little lower than it should be. Sometimes I have to turn the key back and try again 3-4 times and then it goes. When I get it to start, it starts strong and normal. And this issue only happens occasionally, most of the time the car just starts right up first try. I can go days or weeks in between it happening. Any idea what this could be? I know it isn't the battery itself......but could I be looking at some deeper lying electrical issue, or maybe something more simple like the battery posts? Any info will be appreciated, thank you
