I blew out a tire on my car yesterday and need to take it to get new tires. I have a donut on there right now. The problem is that the place I need to get the tires from is about 40 miles from my house. So A. do you think the donut will make it that far? and B. how fast do you think I can drive on it? I'm driving a 97 Ford Taurus.

I'm replacing two different types of bulbs - one of which is rated 12v 10w and the other is rated 12v 5w and I'm a little confused about what rating bulbs I can use as replacements. Do both values have to be exactly the same in the replacement bulbs or can one / the other / both be higher or lower than the original bulb's rating?

Its my first bike. Its a yamaha 2004 yzf-r6. I don't ride it really hard yet. the engine has about 11K miles on it but i've been told by someone with about 20 years motorcycle experience that everything on the bike seems ok and that it runs really well. I dont really know anything about the previous owner's maintenance history. any info would be good. I would like an answer from someone with 600cc sportbike experience. yeah... thats about it: how many miles/gallon should a bike like this be averaging?

My boyfriend has recently got a faster newer car, the problem is he drives far too fast and never wears his seatbelt. When i beg him to slow down and tell him if he crashes without his seatbelt on he'll probably die his response is he has airbags that will protect him, he was driving at about 90 - 100mph last week and since then i refuse to get in the car with him. My question being is he right even if he is driving at very fast speeds without a seatbelt will the airbags protect him if he crashes?

I see this nearly everyday on the Northern California freeways. It is pretty normal to find careless drivers. The problem gets worse during rush hour.

Question: A careless driver nearly hits your as he cuts into your lane on the busy (rush hour) freeway. The driver never notices the fact that he just cut you off. What is your reaction? Include your state or area of the country.

My handbrake does not hold the car on steep surfaces. When I engage it in gear, it works OK, but if it is not in gear, the car slips. The car is second hand, but I've only just bought it. The mechanic I took it to suggested that it could be because the car has been stationary for a long while (in the dealer's forecourt). The mechanic suggested I wait for a week to see if it improves. Does this make any sense?
