Please help!!!!! I have tried or the normal fly wheel pullers etc... bike is currently in a bike shop and they have welded a puller type contraction directly to the crank but still no luck, fast running out of ideas, is this a common problem? any ideas as to how I can get it off?

If the tool the shop was using didn't look like this, then they're idiots - get your bike out of there.

SS39 - about 2/3 the way down.

I had a problem like that on a GSXR - had to heat up the crankshaft with an oxy-acetylene torch - wrecked the crank, but the flywheel finally came off (the bike was in the shop for a new crank, so damage wasn't a concern).
Had the same problem with an Arctic Cat snowmobile.
Suzuki makes the engines for Arctic Cat.

Sounds like you took it too a shop other than Suzuki....

Suzuki has a special puller.

the suzuki puller screws directly into the flywheel, if they are welding stuff to it they don't know what they are doing.
