My jeep has bug spatter all over the grill and front end. I really have never made an attempt to clean it off. I usually run thru the car wash for about 4 minutes and thats it around every 2 weeks. I scrubbed and scrubbed and its like dye in the paint. Any suggestions on getting it off would be helpful. Got any ideas?

i have no clue about cars. im the typical female that brings it to a shop when it breaks down.. i own a 1996 chevy cavilier. the timing belt is going out and it is squeeling really really bad. i have owned the car about a year and a half and the belt has always made a noise. but it has gotten louder within the past month or so. someone told me that once the belt goes it can damage the motor and all sorts of things. how long does it take before the belt breaks when it is at this point? im trying to save the money to get it fixed and i would just like to know if its ok to drive to work.... please help..

Car in front of me stopped suddenly to make a left hand turn at a right banking corner. He almost had to make a small u-turn to make it. In any case I hit him. We get out look at damage to our cars. He has an old Corvette with metal bumpers and I have a plastic mini van. He looked fine, I took a little bumper damage. We exchanged insurance, drivers #'s and contact info just out of reaction that we felt like we should do something. Now he's calling me telling me he took his car in and there is $2000 worth of damage. I think he's pulling something. If no police report was made out and I have not called my insurance yet, where do I stand? Am I liable at all? Should I tell him to contact his or my insurance company? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

My old timer mechanic is telling me to run 10w 40 in my 89 Chevy that has 87,000 miles. It calls for 5w 30 in the manual.
I don't presume to know more than my mechanic...but seems to me it would call for 10w 40 if 10w 40 was okay. It had a small leak that I had him repair (O ring from distributer plug).
He had serviced this car for a few years running 10w 40...I went back to 5w 30. Will 10w 40 hurt the engine? I love my mechanic, but am worried about this advice. Please help.

I have two sets of tires on my car(01 honda civic lx), i have same two of the new ones on front and the same two old ones in the back of the car. The front and back tires have been balanced, and the car felt aligned before the new tires were added on....so my question why does my car pull from side to side, i have hard time braking, and it just feels unusual to drive? is it because of the two sets of different tires, or something else?

your driving along a quite country lane in your car, a motorists comes up behind and overtakes at say 100mph and shoots off down the road out of site, you go further up the road and hes stuck behind traffic lights or at a roundabout, youve caught up and so hes got nowhere any quicker.

ive seen this happen when ive been overtaken and got up the road around the corner and the car has been wrapped around a tree or lamp post when a car or tractor pulled out on him.

As kids we used to put a bit of tar under the penny so it wouldn't fly off the rails so quick and get hit by more wheels. Is there another way to make the pennies stay on for the whole train?
Maybe a website that shows this?
