i just got my new window regulator today,, this will be the 4th one,, the other 3 windows i have repalced myself in the last couple years. i get mine from 1aauto.com , they're $101.00 shipped. They also are very easy to install also, if you can use a screwdriver and a socket, you can do it yourself.... the same website also has downloadable instructions if you need them.
Also, the window switch on the passenger side on my car had loose contacts, but that also was an easy fix.
High mileage cars will have these kids of issues come up, don't let it worry you too much.

The new window switch may require rewiring the plug so be carefull. Buy a GM part that come with the instructions. Note some times after a rain the window motor brushes get stuck hold the window switch to down and slam the door a couple of times it might start working.

I have a 2003 Grand Am and had the same problem, the contacts on the bak of the switch had some debris caught in them. Once i cleaned it out, it worked fine.
