your driving along a quite country lane in your car, a motorists comes up behind and overtakes at say 100mph and shoots off down the road out of site, you go further up the road and hes stuck behind traffic lights or at a roundabout, youve caught up and so hes got nowhere any quicker.

ive seen this happen when ive been overtaken and got up the road around the corner and the car has been wrapped around a tree or lamp post when a car or tractor pulled out on him.

i mean on country lanes where its national speed limit (60mph) and i always stick to them where possible, but ive had cars and motorcycstes overtaking and they must be hitting a ton or more sometimes on a blind corner, ive had slow down sometimes just to let them overtake, my heart has been in my mouth sometimes.

Most of the time you will not catch them up, There are lots of roads that go on for miles and miles without anything to stop for.

i dont over take on country roads even if iam stuck behind a tractor, bearing in mind 60 mph on a A-road is different to conditions on a road of the same limit, but more rural, you just been unlucky to witness a sad accident by a inexperanced driver, bear in mind people who can drive fast cant ussually drive slow ,as you know, its the people who drive responsibly and do drive slow are the ones who can do both..

It happened to me yesterday. Driving home along the lane at50mph, when this numpty passes me doing about 70.
Got to the level crossing about 1/2 mile along the lane and he`s sat there, waiting for the train to pass.
The laugh is, I live by the track and passed him to turn into the carpark.
Sweet revenge.

Some drivers just can't stand anyone being in front of them. They don't realise that around the next corner is the next driver who'll be in front of them. It's just not worth the hassle to arrive at your destination 5 minutes earlier. If they want to speed, they should get a racing car and do it properly. Just don't get riled by them, after all it's their funeral they are hurrying to get to"

They do this because they are either speed junkies or they just don't get the point that speeding is not going to get you there faster. Also...they are more than likely young and have never seen a real accident...But isn't it fun when you catch up to them and they haven't gotten any farther than you?

cuz if you know how to dodge true traffic or know when to let go of the pedal then you can actually get somewhere faster but i find it funny cuz it happens everywhere even in the city not just on a country road and it alot more funny in the city cuz i usually play with them like get next to the car on the other lane and they just end up getting frustrated even more cuz they cant go through but mainly they do it cuz the're IDIOTS as a street racer myself i tell you this you hear of morons that crash while being in a illegal street race & i knew people that die because of that but i think that if you were speeding and suddenlyt lost control then your an idiot cuz if you fix up your car to have more power then you dumb *** shood know that you need to upgrade your suspention so you wont lose control and wrap your car around a tree

They're Morons - I'd rather be 10 mins late in this world than 5 mins early in the next one.

actually a higher rate of speed will get you there quicker, the only problem is that you catch up with other cars that slow you down, if it were not for them you would have never pulled up behind the car that passed you.
