Do you turn it down ? i'm curious and want to know..
just say yes or no.
i often put the songs on when i drive , but is it necessary to turn it down ? like a sign of respect or something since rap music is rebellious ?

There is a difference between playing rap music and disturbing the peace.
Listening to rap music very loud might be an annoyance to some people, and this is a cause for a disturbing the peace violation.
It might annoy you if a person stops next to you blasting death metal so loud you cant even think straight much less see the person ahead of you. In this case, you are disturbed and this is a cause for a disturbing the peace violation.
Be fair to whole general public, not just police. In fact, be less fair to police and more fair to the general public, since nine times out of ten it will be the police bothering you for BS reasons, not the general public.
So please, show respect to others, keep the music inside the vehicle!

I don't listen to a lot of rap, but as a music listener, it's best to turn down whatever type of music- even rap- when cop cars are present.

Nope! Ya extra advantageous bump that Sh!t....be conscious...its only track and there's a lot of rebellious rock/united states in spite of its only no longer rap and you will play in spite of u pick on your automobile while not having to be under pressure by way of cops!

yes.
but i'll usually turn down any music i've got on if i see a cop or emergency vehicle so that I can be more aware of my surroundings than usual.
a cop once tried to pull me over while i was speeding 120 mph and listening to loud music, it was quite a few miles before i even noticed that he was even there.

I turn any loud music down around the cops. I don't want them to pull me over and smell the weed,

the only times i ever listen to rap is when the subs are pounding... and hell no i wont turn that **** down for nobody!
but mostly, rap sucks balls.
