I ran a stop sign that was hidden UP IN A TREE. Barley dented the bumper of the guy I hit and dented my fender.
A cab hit me while I was standing still (In a 5 ton refrigerator truck) in Japan and the cops said it was 1/2 my fault. Then they wanted me to sign a paper that, so they said, said I wouldn't take charges out on the taxi driver. It was in Japanese. I crumbled it up and threw it on the ground and stomped on it. Finally, the Navy SP had it translated into English. I tore the Japanese part off, put it in my pocket and signed the English part.
A Japanese guy in an OLD truck hit me from behind (I was driving a 1958 Ford Reefer truck) and we looked for the damage on his and mine and couldn't figure out what damage he did (trucks were BOTH in bad shape). We shook hands, bowed and went on our way.

It should be referred to as an incident if the situation was avoidable.
Most incidents are avoidable.
However, yes I have and I consider it my fault.
The outcome of the insurance claim was 50/50.
During the course of my 12 years as a driving instuctor I also had 2 drivers that misjudged the skill level of my students, resulting in their vehicle colliding into the rear of the school car.
On both occasions the incident was at a roundabout and thedriver following had anticipated the student confidently accellerating swiftly, not stopping.
The outcome of these 2 incidents was 100% in my favour. Oops!

Yes, and it was my fault. It was a stupid mistake, and luckily no one was hurt! It was late at night after a long day of work, and I thought the lane to my left was going opposite me, not the same way. I went to turn into a gas station from the right lane, and the other car hit into me. My car was totaled, but it could have been much worse! I haven't had any accidents since - learned my lesson! Always be completely in tune with your surroundings.

Yes and I was totally unprepared.
I was in my Mom's car and didn't know where the insurance papers were or her registration.
My advice: Always know where the essentials (insurance etc.) are at and have a cell phone in the car.
It wasn't my fault though. This guy rear- ended us when we stopped at a stop-sign- how stupid!

Yes, I have. And no, it wasn't my fault. The guy ignored the stop sign and didn't see me coming. It was terrible! Got hit on the driver's side. =o(

I've been in a few,but only because the other drivers were at fault.Rear ended twice,t-boned once, and avoided a head-on collision but lost it and ended up crashing into a big tree once.
