soak the insides of them in oil and that will help burn them out faster.

its amazing that glass packs are back in vouge.......to make em louder the glass inside needs to come out---blown out the tailpipe. the easiest and least expensive way to accomplish that is to simply drive you vehicle as normal until the mufflers are at the max temp and while the engine is running at idle(be sure to leave it running)snake a garden hose up the tailpipe with the water on.........this will rapidly cool the inside of the muffler and the paccking will crack and break........dont leave the hose on but about a minute or so then pull the hose out and rev the engine hard to blow out the broken pieces of packing.......they will continue to get louder as more packing continues to break loose in a few days...........good luck.......thats how we did it back in the day.

If you have a stick shift. Drive down a hill, while the car is under compression, turn it off, then back on. It will make a loud backfire. Do this enough times and it will blow all the packing out.
