I'm really interested in purchasing a second generation Camaro and/or possibly a different muscle car. Everyone has given me great advice, such as that I need to find a car with a good body/interior but the engine doesn't have to be perfect.

I've heard a scenario where I can remove the car's original/current engine and transport it to an autoparts store. Then I will trade the engine in and pay a fee and will receive the crate engine.

I found that Jegs sells a crate engine for $1,500: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_85884_-1

I'm not sure I'm going to have that kind of money after buying the car because I only have $2-$4k. Can I use the trade-in process mentioned above? If so, how much will it cost me for the engine? Thank you.

Are they ok to use on my leather and also for spot treatments if something is spilled or such?

Any advice on using it? (Like not using it if the leather is going to have sunlight shining on it)

Also what is the best way to keep my leather from wrinkling so much or appearing rough?

My check engine light is on and at 79,600miles the mechanic said I need to replace the catalytic converter and O2 sensors in my civic. I feel like this should not be breaking on my car already. I have only had it 8 months and the quote to fix it is really expensive.

I took the MSF course and thats the only riding experience I have. Shortly after that I bought a Kawasaki EX500 to practice on but had to back surgery a week after I bought it so I haven't got much practice in.

I haven't got the idea of using both brakes so I'm kinda scared to drive to a parking lot and risk losing my balance at a stop and falling over in the street. Maybe I should drive to a parking lot real late at night when no one is on the road? The problem is I live near campus so everyone is up real late. How do I brake properly without making the bike come to an abrupt stop?

My car has a wimpy horn. I want something LOUD that will get people's attention when needed. I've found some online that look easy to install, but I wonder if that would void my car warranty (it's only about 4 months old, bought new)? Anyone know?

Hi, I have a civic lx 96, automatic, I was wondering is there any advantage in switching over to syntheic oil for motor and transmission oil as well. So far, I'm using the stock oil for every transmission oil change and just some shell motor oil for the motor. Thanks

My sister got in an accident, and she doesnt know if it was her fault. She said that she was going at about 15 mph, and the guy slammed on his brakes which caused her to do the same, except when she did, her brakes locked up. It was just a fender bender but she got a ticket and she has to take a course to keep her license. Im not sure if its careless driving, can someone clear it up for me?

This is on North Harlem Ave in Chicago. First of all the tried to get me to pay extra for all the stuff that "needs" to be serviced. They put 2 gaskets on my oil filter which started spraying oil all over the ground the moment they started the car. They put the wrong tire pressure which is clearly shown on the side of the door of every car! Stay away from this place. They will put whatever the want in your car instead of the right stuff. If you do go there, don't go sit at the waiting area. Be right next to your car and make sure they are doing the right things and ASK what are they doing.

Better yet, if you have a garage, change your own oil and filter. I don't have a garage so i have to deal with these monkeys.

Imagine I drove on the highway with the oil filter spraying my oil all over the place. My engine would've been severely damaged.

What is a typical number for the gear ratio of driveshaft to axle for high gear? For example, something like 2 revolutions of driveshaft for every 1 revolution of wheel(assuming RWD) axle?

Is 1:1 a typical number? Can it go any lower, something like less than 1 to 1?

How about low gear? What is a typical number?

thanks.

I had hit the curb, and my right front tire is no aligned, i have to save money to get the alignment, if i keep driving w/o it, will it cause any serious damage?

And my left front tire looks a little flat, just a tad, when i get my car aligned, can i ask them to pump them up a little bit more, and check my tire pressure? Will they charge me for it? If so how much?

Thank you!
