I hope that there was a police report filed. Be careful with verbal commitments, they have a way of forgetting about things and then you have no proof of the settlement. It might be better if you turned this over to your insurance company and let them fight it out. In fact, I believe you are required to notify your insurnace company anyway. Call them and see what they have to say about it.

Either that or get the cash in your hands now, and make sure you are satisfied with the settlement. good luck.

NEVER SETTLE with an insurance company without talking to a lawyer.!!!!!! especially since SOME injuries don't always show up right away......I've never heard of someone's COMPANY paying for an uninsured driver....please get a lawyer before you sign ANYTHING..... I'm not saying you should SUE this guy.... not unless you WANT to---a lot of people would although I wouldn't as long as everything was covered by insurance (replacing the car included).... I think people in the USA are SUE HAPPY... but, just get some advice froma lawyer FIRST before you agree the "settlement" because once you settle, they make you sign a paper stating you will NEVER come back to try for more money later---should you find out the accident caused an injury to your daughter that doesn't show up for a while.... (like a bone injury that might not have been detected at the hospital).......

yes that's a real good settlement, but make sure they include the hospital bills also in this, and maybe any future problems if you can get it,but if they agreed to pay this much ,the settlement was fair, probably more than an insurance company would have been with you on it,the main thing is that she is alright and is not hurt, the car was probably worth.less than 1000 bucks so this one came out good, good luck with it.

If she was not hurt then take the money and run. You should easily be able to replace a 97 Geo Metro for that kind of money.

THey should have paid all medical bills, plus the lesser of the value of the car or cost to repair.
