1975 F-350 1 ton dullie Wrecker with the 360 cid 2bbl carb 4 speed tranny ~ We are restoring as a hobbie project ~ Motor's locked up, wanting to swop out motors ~ so, does anybody know what will be a common motor, that will bolt up to the mounts, and the bell with little, or preferably NO messing arround??? We where thinking a 351, but we dont know if it would be a cleavland, windsor, or modified ~ Also thinking about a 400 cid, or a 460 cid ~ Any thoughts???

Use a 351 Cleveland. The Windsors were for cars, higher revving and more hp, the Clevelands had more torque. If I remember, it's been a long time. Any of those engines will go in with no trouble at all. Good old American V8s!

the 360 is a FE motor so any FE block will fit in its place see the site below in the chart find the FE in block type the other motors will fit the frame but you would have to change alot of stuff to get it to work including the tranny The FE390 would be a good choice and somewhat easy to find good luck

Yes you will need to change bell housings and juggle the motor mounts around a little

none of the above... its an fe block... the only engines that will bolt up are the 332, 352, 360, 390, 410, 427, and 428. the last fe block was made in 1976.
