Plain and simple, the only option you have if you have no key and no key code, is to replace the ignition lock cylinder that comes with a dummy key that is cut for the switch but will not start the car, the new switch will come with a new resistor value, you then take the dummy key to the dealer and purchase a new pass key with the correct resister value and have it cut to the dummy key. Then your ready to go. KEEP DUMMY KEY AND RESISTOR VALUE IN SAFE PLACE, you may need it again. Because the car is a 95 model the dealer may not be able to find out the original chip value because the car is 12 years old, been there.

You don't have too many choices here. What I would do before taking any action is look through all the car's documentation to see if any smart person wrote the key codes and the resistor code down anywhere. There is something like 16-20 different values for the resistor in the key, so if someone wrote both of those down you will have what you asked for. The selling dealer is also a possibility as these might have been written down on their paper work as a back up. If you can't find any of that, the cheapest way to fix this properly is to buy a new ignition lock cylinder with two new keys and a theft deterrent module and replace both of them as only a new module can accept a new key code. The other way you would have to take your chances with several key resistors available and these keys are expensive. If you attempt to bypass, it's a mess and usually ends up doing the replacement of both in the end. I can't think of anything else you can do. Good luck.

I would try calling some other GM dealer's in your area and some locksmiths can cut a replacement key with the proper chip as well if they have the Passkey equipment to determine the proper chip value. A GM dealer can get the key cut code from your VIN number and can find out the chip code with a Passkey system reader. Best thing to do is call around for the cheapest price. Some alarm shops can do a bypass of the system too. Expensive system to fix but cheaper than having the car stolen.
Here's a site with instructions on how to bypass the system if you want..........http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?TID=56546

not on that one there isn't,unless you completely remove the security system from it,and disable it,there is no other way, that's about the average price now for having those keys made,i know it sounds expensive, but on this one you have no choice but a dealer or a qualified lock smith, and he too will be expensive on this one, good luck on it.
