here are the specifics: it sat in a field for 15 years (or so the owner says); it has surface rust on almost all of it - the rust is solid, though (my pocket knife didn't plunge into the metal as i knocked it on different areas); it is white; has what owner says is a 393 (probably stock); interior has to be TOTALLY redone (from carpet & headliner to dash, gear shifter (his & hers)), guages, seats - everything; body is fairly straight; owner says that the engine turns over; didn't read odometer and it has two flat tires.

What would a person throw into rebuilding this car? Would you start from the ground and go up? Are parts easy to find for antique GTOs?

I hardly think he'll get $10k; I looked on eBay and found a running, fully operable 67 GTO for around $6k (nothing fancy).

Thanks for any tips/advice.

It is an Acura 2.5 TL with 173,000 miles. Oil is clean when checked, engine looks brand new. It is missin its keyless entry. Tires have good wear left. Can an Acura handle that many miles? It is only $2500 but that is how much a new transmission and a new engine would cost if it went on me. I don't know if I can trust an Acura with that many miles.

Not talking about any of the so-called Lincoln Mark trucks...sorry!

So, for all the years that the Lincoln Mark coupe was built, from 1956 to 1998, what generation would you like if you was going to buy one, and if you do already own one or more, then what kind is it?

What Mark series are your most and least favorite and why?

If you have a favorite Mark series, which colors are your favorite and what are your most hated color combinations?

What Mark series would you recommend to someone who likes Marks but has a difficult time choosing a model to buy?

Thanks.

I had a Buell Blast 500, and still have a Honda Rebel 250. I've been down on both. I've taken the MSF safety course, and have been riding for a year. I was wondering if a slightly heavier, lower riding bike might corner better? I've been contemplating a Honda Shadow 600, which is 150 lbs heavier and 1 inch lower than the Rebel. I rode the Buell fine, as far as engine size goes, but the higher center of gravity on a sport bike requires more lean. The leaning is where I have problems. My husband was thinking lower and heavier might hug the road better without me having to lean as much. Is this a good bike to consider for my issue, or what other do you suggest? Thank you!

Toyota Camery 1996 4-cylinder

I barrowed the machine from Auto Zone. It reads: "cylinder 2 misfire detected".

After checking the cylinder #2, there is some white on the bottom of that cylinder and none on the other 3. Does this mean I need to replace spark plugs or the cylinder? And what is the price difference? Thanks :)

So how do you get out of paying on a repossed car that was sold to someone else, and you can't afford to keep paying the creditor?

I need some opinions on wether or not I should keep this truck. I bought it 5 months ago from a dealership for $8k. So far the alignments been adjusted 3 times, back breaks totally replaced, major tune up (the spark plugs were rusted onto the battery) and a mystery problem (turned out to be the oxygen sensor). I have spent over $3k already fixing it. Not only that, but the ball joints need replacing (another $300). I'm stuck between keeping it because i've put so much money into it now or selling it because i'm afraid in the future it'll have more problems. I didn't do my research before buying the Dakota and I see it has nothing but bad reviews. Opinions please!!!!!!

I am planning on buying a car and I want to pay cash so that I will not have to worry about the payments later. The saleperson yesterday said I was making a bad choice by paying in cash? Was he being honest? or does he have some financial motivation for having potential customers finance cars?

I have tried a re-manufactured unit but it doesn't fit properly. Hopefully I can find an original equipment (OEM) unit. All I need is the bowl on the carb.

I was going over a bump in the road a few weeks ago and the speedometer started jumping around. Immediately after it went down to about 20km/h but increased slowly with the speed of the car which would have been about 60km/h....
Now when I turn the key into the ON posistion but don't start the engine, the speedometer goes up to about 25km/h and sits there then when I start moving (slowly) it goes up to 60km/h and sits there. When braking, the speedometer needle decreases (a bit later though) back down to about 20km/h. I disconnected a lead (the only lead) at the rear of the gearbox/diff as its a 4wd and the speedo still goes up to 20km/h and sits there.

Anyone got any quick fix for this as i don't want to fork out 500 for a instrument cluster........
