I have checked leads, have new plugs and they are definatly sparking. This ski stopped on me suddenly while I was out. The battery is fully charged! I have to premix the fuel & oil and wounder if the ratio could be the problem? Would to much or not enough oil do this??

An engine needs 3 things (normally) to run-Spark, fuel, and compression. Without these, it will not. When you were testing, are you sure you had spark all the time, and not an intermittant spark??? I would check the compression in the cylinders. A reading of 120 or more and a difference of 10 or 10% between cylinders should be obtained. If it's low, it wont run. You could also try spraying some carb cleaner/brake cleaner in the plug holes, just a shot, and re-install plugs/wires. Then crank motor and see if it fires. If it does, you will know you have a fuel issue and a carb job may be necessary. Sometimes, after sitting for a while, watercrafts take a long time for their fuel systems to prime(fuel to combustion chamber) Try a shot of carb clean in the plug holes and see what happens.

Take a fuel line loose from carb. feed and see if you have fuel. If so you prolly have some crud that got by the filter and plugged a jet. 2 strokes are pretty touchy when it comes to clean fuel. Change your filter often. It is easy to pick up dirt when mixing fuel. Shouldn't take much to get it going. Have same problem with chain saws.

I had the same thing happen on my yamaha after I had changed my plugs with a different brand. A soon as I put in a set of NGK plugs it ran fine again.
