can anybody tell me where the knock sensor is located on the 3.4 4 cyl engine my cad fluncked the inspection for a bad sensor ind im going crazy looking for it,,,is it on the engine block ??cylinder head ???intake manifold ??/exhaust manifold ???/im beat

I've noticed near rail lines in my 'hood that there seems to be alot of junk like old tie piles, spike piles, tie plates, anchors, etc. laying around. Kids sometimes amuse themselves by putting lines of spikes on the tracks, and even tie plates. I'm assuming that since a train hasn't ever derailed despite all this junk on the tracks that they won't. Is the reason that they don't derail is because they have so much mass moving in a straight line, and it would take something to throw them off on a side angle to actually derail them?

there is a black 2006 c6 convertible for sale for $57000 that i am interested in, this C6 has every option a zo6 comes with, all the options together cost almost $11000, its an 06 model but it has 0 miles on it,for the second car im interested in is the 07 Boxter, which brand new cost around $52000 with tax with hardly any options, i personally am thinking about getting the C6 but the interior is very cheap, but since the Boxter is German its in a totally different class, which car is a better buy?

I found out there is a problem with my water pump and when I got home the engine was overheating really bad. I hosed it down with cold water ( which I realise is a big mistake) and it shut off as I was spraying it. Now every time I start the engine it cuts off if I don't feed it gas. Please give me some help on trouble shooting. I know I messed up, please just help me fix it. This is my first car.

Can someone explain what those numbers mean? I need to get replacements and see a few on ebay but either the Pnumber is off or the 70 number is different. Would I be able to use my factory rims on anything other than P205/70R16? Like P245/70R16? Thanks in advance.

gf's lil bro bought one, seemed to be a okay car and the price was right, 800 bucks. a week after he got it we found it has a cooling system problem, thought it was the thermostat, so i swapped it out for him. this is where i get confused, the thermostat he got was a 48 mm, which is what a 2.8 should have according to all the books, well it was too big, so i took the old one to the parts store and they matched it to a 44mm out of a 91' fire bird with a 3.1 okay...the engine was changed out 10,000 miles ago, said they did a direct swap with a reman, i believe it was a reman. any idea whats going on? where do i look for a id tag or what not. i know the 2.8 where a bastard child . i have owned one in my time, this car still has the badged 2.8 fuel system, any info would be great.

My car makes a slight knocking sound over bumps and rough surfaces. Mechanics have checked the suspension and bushes and no one is entirely sure of the cause. I would like to find a vibrating road simulator so I could see under the car whilst it is being driven over simulated bumps. I live in the north west of England.

so yeah, any ideas on why the dome fuse blows the moment the battery is connected, and which fuse is for the sound?
note the dash clock went out at the same time as the stereo, so i guess theyre on the same fuse
