i have a 1991 dodge stealth (sohc) what can tell the computer not to send signal to distributor?

it has a new computer that i just put in 3 years ago so it either has something that killed the computer again or something is telling it not to put out a signal.

Most likely the crank sensor is bad. A computer scan will tell you for sure!

crank or cam possition sensor.Check for power with key on at sensor.
