Just get a remote, be it from ebay or whatever is cheapest. Then call the dealer and ask for the electrical specialist. He may know off the top of his head how to program the remotes.
Unless a very new model, there is a two wire connector in the trunk that simply must be jumped. I always used my car key, if no screwdriver was handy.
Can't hurt to ask, most folks are human after all!

You can buy a remote that will work in a lot of places. Then check you owners manual or on line for how to program it. You will pay more at the dealer however it will be an exact match to the one you got when you bought the vehicle.

If you bought the car from a dealer, then they may give you one, and program it for you. If not, then you can buy one, most dealers have a box full of unused remotes they keep, in case a car comes in without a remote. Good luck with the remote.

You could go to the dealership... yes... and pay a bunch... or if you are proficient at the internet and ebay, you may be able to find one on there, buy it, and go to the dealership to have it "programmed" to your car. There is a major difference in price if you can find one on ebay for cheaper. Just make sure that you find the right one for your make, model and year of your car. Good Luck!
