Just off the bat, I'm no dumby when it comes to vehicles, but this just drives me nuts. I have got a 1975 harley sx175 and it is a 2 cycle. Today I drained, and flushed all fluids then put in all new. Did the little things, just so it would run, but when I go to kick start it, it turns over but then jams. I took out the spark plug and kicked it over and the motor is NOT locked up, but while turning it over, every time I kicked, a thick mist of 2 cycle oil squirts out. I think the reason it "jams" is because after the first initial kick, too much oil is let in cylinder, in which there is way to much compression. Also everytime I take the spark plug out, the tip is dripping with oil. Now I do know the oil is added to the fuel automatically. I'm pretty sure its not a carb problem, but I may be wrong. Can ANYONE give advice, or explain to me how the oil system in these bikes work, so I can get an idea of what the issue is? Thanks

I just bought a new car and my friend asked my to let her drive my old car for a couple of weeks.
I no longer have insurance on it, and she has a Croatian, not a US drivers licence.

Should I let her drive it? What would happen if she got in a accident? Would I get in trouble?
Is there some sort of short term insurance he could get (without US licence)?

"brand new alternator put in on november 5th 2006, records and receipt to prove, with a 2yr warranty, also new battery due to a failure in the last alternator, the check engine light and abs light and airbag light are pinned on since then due to the over-charging of the alternator to the battery which also caused the climate control to short out since its digital. if the computer was re-set the lights would go off, and the climate control would be back on. The radio doesnt seem to have any power going to it, i havent had the time to check it out. slow at start of accell, but kicks in at about 25mph, stalls at complete stop, once again due to the computer"......would reseting the comp really fix that?

1.)Just bought a new boat. I have run it 4 times end every time its something new. Its the 5.7L Mercruiser, rebuilt in 2005. Today I was running it for about 1.5 hrs and then it suddenly cut off. I put it in neutral and it fired back on, but quickly cut back off. Tried to start it again, but I am getting nothing, hardly even a click. I tried the batteries, and they were both almost drained (couldnt even power the radio). Got back to my house and tried to start it again, but nothing. This time the batteries would run the radio and also tilt the motor. 2.)I also have been having problems with it running. Twice I have taken it out and ran fine for an hour or so, then it cuts off. Those times it will start back with some coaxing, but will only idle...if i throttle up it quickly kills followed by a little backfire. Seems like there is water in the fuel line.
Any ideas on these two issues? Could they be related?

Replaced the 02 sensor and the idle air sensor and checked the throttle position sensor with a volt meter and took the negative battery cable off to reset the comp and the light still comes on. It runs like it's lean but I can attain highway speeds if I speed up slow enough. Seems to run fine if I don't give it any gas. Had the auto parts store check the computer and it didn't store any error codes even while it was running with the check engine light on.

I've got a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer. The power seems to surge under a load (pulling a steep hill at highway speeds). I just recently replaced the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, cleaned the EGR valve, had the transmission rebuilt (30,000 miles ago), and I can't figure it out. It seems to only do it in Overdrive. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Or any two-stroke engine, for that matter?

All right, manual says oil and gasoline must be mixed by a 5% (or 20-to-1) ratio. That means I will have 250 mililiters (ml) of oil for each 10 liters of gasoline. Fine? Fine. But... does that mean that I will put 10 liters of gasoline, THEN add 250 ml of oil (with a total of 10.250 liters of liquids in the tank), OR do I have to REPLACE 250 ml of gasoline with the same amount of oil (9.75 liters of gasoline and 0.25 liters - or 250 ml - of oil), ending up with exactly 10 liters of liquids in the tank, but with a richer mixture? This is important in order to find the correct mixture. Thanks!!!

first of all, when do you know your radiator is broken?
i recently got into a minor accident and rear-ended some guy infront of me.. fronts banged up and my hood collapsed, but its not terrifying under the hood...

when i hit the car infront of me, the radiator support got knocked back and gave my radiator a punch.. when i looked at it, one of the brackets connecting the radiator and the radiator support bar popped off the radiator when the punch happened, so i think that saved the radiator from snapping in half or damaging...

the radiator is slightly angled like / that... but nothing is neccessarily broken...

should i replace it? After the accident, i drove in 10 minutes home and it was fine, it ran like any other day (most of the damage was headlight/hood/radiator support/?radiator?)

Secondly, how do i know a good radiator from a crap radiator?
.. whats better.. metal or OE plastic...

(trying to keep cost down.. plz)

THANKS FOR THE HELP.
