I suggest you book your girl in for an overhaul. Katana's perform the best with regular maintance from your suzuki dealer, and they will be able to fix your problem, the draw back is it will be expensive.

When you're at a stop, can you increase the RPMs with the throttle? but not the idle screw?
If so, somethings up with the carbs/throttle linkage.
When the carbs were rebuilt, maybe the mechanic put something back together wrong or stripped the idle screw.
Remove the fuel tank and look at the carbs - turn the idle screw while you looking at them to see what's wrong.

If the idle screw isn't affecting the idle, it's not set up properly. Perhaps the mount is bent, and the screw is going up and down in the air. If you get response from the throttle, you need to fix the idle adjustment.

most likely its the idle adjust that to 1200-1300 rpm and that should be good. Also your local Suzuki Dealer should be able to acess any other damage to your motorcycle.

in the first place if you're asking a question like this, then you should have someone take all the tools away from you..

if you bike is stalling, why not check what your idle speed is supposed to be.

secondly if you're playing with screws you have no idea what their for... PLEASE - SOMEONE TAKE HIS TOOLS AWAY
