I had an auto accident yesterday, quick story, at fault driver ran stop sign and t boned me, my (2) kids in the car as well. I called her ins co and am requesting a rental, I have no transportation, no money to pay my deductable to have my ins cover rental, ins agent is stating he has to talk to the driver first and he cannot release authorization for a rental until she calls him back, we are now at day 2 and he has not heard from her, she did not even call to report the accident, I did....

Also, my ins co just called with an estimate, 3600.00, can I expect a compensatory offer too?

I am hurt bumped and bruised, my 2 kids are too, one has neck, back and a large lump on her head and the other has neck and back pain.

How long should this whole process take?

Thank you for your replies....

I made a right turn after making my stop and watch for cars. I did not see any vehicle. all of the sudden a car behind me "avoided hitting me and changed line so another car rear endend him. The bottom line: I did not hit anyone, no one hit me, they wanted to make the light, they were speeding, I did my stop and at that time no cars were comming. Now the guy who was rear endend states this: "because I did not want to hit you; I got hit, so the guy who hit me is blaming you and you need to contact my insurance"

Please give me your most honest answer, If It is my fault I will accept the consequences, but if not, definitely I will not be the one who pays for people wanting to make the lights.

thank you

I have a 1995 Chevy S10 4.3L truck, I have noticed occasionally that sometimes it doesn't want to accelerate, even if you put the pedal to the floor. Then sometimes if I pump the pedal once it will slowly accelerate and make a popping noise. At other times it will randomly surge as though I pressed the accelerator. The fuel economy isn't what it was, around 16 mpg vs the 20 it used to get. It has been worked on by myself and a shop, I changed the plugs, wires, rotor, coil, air filter, PVC valve is good, and they cleaned the EGR valve, replaced the screen, replaced the fuel filter, changed a couple vaccuum hoses, it still does this sometimes, any ideas?

I have recently gotten into sand dune riding. I want to get a dirt bike that would have good power in the sand. I know I am going to put a paddle tire on the back regardless of what it is. I just want to get some opinions on some good bikes that have a lot of power in the sand. I like the powerband of 2 strokes, but I like 4 stroke dependability and low maintenance as well. Any suggestions??? I am 6'1" 235.

I have noticed over the past 2 weeks a very slow oil leak. At most 1 drip every 1 to 2 days. I had the intake valves and gaskets replaced about 6 months ago. 98 Pontiac Grand AM GT. 140k miles. Also had power steering hose replaced about 6 weeks ago. Neither time was anything noticed or mentioned that may be causing the slow leak. Any thoughts?

I am in process of buying Hyundai Sonata '07, either GLS or SE. I need some input on some queries from this think tank to make my decision:

1) What is the actual miles per gallon I should expect if used for daily travel? We know on paper it says GLS(23/33) & SE(20/30) & I would appreciate if your can let me know your observations.

2) I heard SE have "Solar Control Glass" where as GLS don't have. How effective are "Solar Control Glass" in hot places like Texas?

3) If am planning to keep this cars for some time like 6-8 yrs then which one is expected to be easy on maintainence cost/time? (v6 or I4)?

okay so I was in a real bad accident recently and my car needed major repair---it was almost unrepairable---the body shop did like 4,000 in work and then i went to get the car and it was undriveable---the car drove fine prior to the accident and was in awesome shape---so i took it to a ford dealership to have the mechanical checked out---as the car is a ford---well, my insurance company (state farm) and i have the best policy possible is refusing to pay for any more---the accident was not my fault and they are refusing to pay to have it fixed mechanically from the accident and then get reimbursed by the company---they want me to fork over 3,000 and then get reimbursed---i am an adult with a perfect driving history and they want me to pay???---i am paying good money to them for the insurance----is this fair and what can i do about it? i need honest answers---thanks

I have a '98 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Yesterday while trying to start the van the dash remained off. (NO gages, no lites, nothing) It started up and ran (but it didn't feel right) I repeatly restarted the van still had the same problem. I was able to drive it although I didn't know how fast I was going or anything like that. Once I got to my desitination I restared it again...still same problem but now the Check Engine lite is on. Today my dash is working fine, but the service engine lite remains. The dealer won't even take it in till tomorrow. So I took it to autozone the code they got was PO1698 they didn't know what that meant. Am I screwed? Any ideas what the problem could be?
