I own a shop, and have owned and/or worked on race cars for years. Usually headers have a collector on them already. The headers come off the plate that's bolted to the engine. Each tube for each cylinder run down and connect together. The larger tube the individual tubes connect to is the collector. The collector can be either long or short, but the long is most preferred due to it having more torque characteristics. What is meant by tuned headers is; each primary tube is the same length, thus making each cylinder equal on the output. I will assume you are making your own headers and need a pipe to fabricate your own collectors. Most all companies that sell header kits will have these. They also have flanges you will need. A couple of companies that come to mind is; www.jegs.com and www.summitracing.com
You may have to contact them by phone to get the information you need. They should have this 3" pipe in stock, but I'm not sure they will. They can tell you where to get what you need.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

I bought my headers from summitracing.com I even used some of the cheaper ones for my 98 chevy. These headers came with a 3" pipe for the collector. I have also had good luck using local parts stores. I run a shop so sometimes I have to get things quickly.

On top of everyone elses advice, I'll throw in www.yearone.com. Based on your question, it appears that you have the headers coming and are looking for a Y-Pipe. Year One can help you out. I'd recommend getting the Y-pipe from the same manufacturer as your headers. That way there will be no fitment issues.
Good luck.

Any muffler shop that can handle truck exhausts can probably fix you up.
