When I bought the truck, it needed various things done to it. Now, though, it's drivable except the transmission's really difficult (you can slide into certain gears at certain times, but then not find them the next time . . . . generally frustrating). The previous owner had converted the shifter from the column to the floor, so I wonder (am pretty sure) if they screwed up.

In addition to cost, I'd like to know what parts I should be looking for and where best to look.

Also, would it be easier to just return the shifter to the tree?

Thanks

I bent the rear axle shaft on my Honda 250 Recon four wheeler. My question is this: Do I have to remove the rear gear housing cover to remove the axle shaft, or can I just slide out the rear axle WITHOUT taking the rear gear housing apart?
I would appreciate any tips you can give me for removing the rear axle shaft.

Thanks!

I made an offer of $10,500 for a car. I was told my offer was accepted over the phone. I signed an agreement to purchase the car if my offer was accepted. When I went for my financing the price was listed at $11,500. My saleman said he must've submitted the price incorrectly. Do I still get the car at $10,500, or am I out of luck.

Early on January 16, 2006, two boys escaped from a juvenile detention home in Nelsonville, Ohio, (USA), broke into a building that houses a Hocking Valley Scenic Railway locomotive, and took the locomotive on a 12 mile joyride before being apprehended by police.

If we can’t secure a potential weapon of mass destruction from kids, how could we ever think our rail networks are safe from terrorists?

This industry has ignored the problem far too long and it’s high time our legislators stepped in to protect citizens. Enacting a rail security bill could have prevented most of this and other incidents, including a fatality due to train sabotage.

This is your wake up call, my friends. I would strongly urge everyone to contact your government representatives at all levels. I can assure you that an average freight train has a huge destructive potential, far in excess of what has been accomplished through the use of four commercial jetliners.

So, what will you do?

I have a 2004 VUE, and the last couple weeks I've been hearing a roaring noise coming from the rear right wheel. It has gotten louder the last day or so. One person told me it might be the bearings, and that it's a easy thing to have fixed. I'm taking it to the mechanic on Friday. Anyone have an idea how much this might cost?

Today as I was driving home and taking the 1-10 freeway from Pasadena to Los Angeles, I made a left turn while it was still yellow but turn red half way as I turn. The traffic light is a little different. You can't turn right on red because they have the green signal on when you can turn. Then after the green signal is gone for turning left, it will starts to blink yellow meaning you can still turn, but you have to yield to other drivers on the other side, and then after it stop blinking after a few seconds, it will turn solid yellow and turn red. I don't remember which street it was on though. The reason that I am worry because there is a camera there and they are everywhere in Pasadena. Will I get a ticket for it (they will likely send you a ticket through mail). So what do you think?

P.S. I am still pretty new to driving, only got my license for close to 3-4 months already.

I traded my 2003 Buick Lesabre in for 2007 Accord, they gave me 7000 for buick, so I was negative $5,395 to be tacked on. Honda price: 24,780 - 7000 = 17,780 + 5000 = 23000.00 is that a good price for LX-V6? Are they good cars?

I insure my car with Admiral insurance in the UK. Recently I was involved in a very minor accident, for which I do not intend to claim. It is not clear whether the other party will claim from their insurance or not. If I report the accident to my insurer, even if neither side actually puts in a claim pertaining to the accident, will this be considered as a claim for working out my No Claims Bonus next year?
