Can a non resident foreigner buy & register a car in any state?
As I will be in the US for 6 months as I would like to buy a car to get around, and would like to buy a car in a zero sales tax state like Oregon..

Well, the law says you have to be a resident of the state (not a tourist) to register a vehicle, but apparently there are ways around that based on things I see. Ask t\where you buy the vehicle and see what they tell you.

My employees seem to be able to buy and register a car.....even houses and I know they are not citizens of this country. The governement does not care if you a citizen or not when buying a car. They only care about it being register and insured when its on the road.

I have a customer from Japan who owns a car here in California. He stores it here for when he's in California for business. I'm assuming he owns it, since its a new Bentley and has custom plates (with his name)on it.

i'm no longer able to enable you to plenty yet i'm able to recommend that the individuals in la would recognize all with regard to the essential vehicle. coverage. Please be VERY careful while driving in Mexico. I even have heard many undesirable issues approximately foreigners having issues there. God Tur !

so before going to do anything u must contact the state officials and discuss about it
