Everything on this 1995 Wrangler is stock. I want more power and more speed on the road. Do you guys think its worth putting the money into it? Can it be done? Is the body structure big enough for a larger engine? Any info is appreciated. Your loyal Jeep fan, ~Jeepboy~

I don't think it's worth investing any amount in a 12year-old ordinary Jeep. It won't be more valuable just because of the new engine. Better you sell it and find a suitable other Jeep...

Good luck!

Advanced Adaptors has all the stuff to make this a virtual bolt in project. It carries motor, transmission mounts, wiring harness adaptors and many other parts. The problem will be that the Dana 35 rear end you have will not handle V8 power. It will also need to be upgraded to a Dana 44 or possible Chrysler 8.8. I have seen some of these with a 350 Chevy and if done right it looks factory in the engine compartment.

After a butt load of research I have found the perfect motor...for my 91 YJ. Check the link below.

With this non stroker, 230 hp I-6 swap you'll change your trans and ECM. You can still roll with your dana 35s. but if you have the funds go to a 44. Your ride has 4.10 gears in it so your set up to 33 in tires.

There are other details, but I'm sure you'll do more research if this looks like the engine for you.

The link also provides info on what size injectors, coil, spark...ect.

On the other hand if you wanted too, you could stuff a Corvette LS1 under the hood. I've seen one at my shop....it was BAAAD ASSSS!

U CAN CONVERT IT TO WHATEVER U WOULD LIKE THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR U TO PLAY WITH WHEN CONVERTING. ADVANCE ADAPTORS MAKES ADAPTERS FOR DROP A CHEVY 350 CRATE MOTOR IN AND THEY ALSO HAVE PLATES FOR THE TRANS TO BOLT DIRECTLY TO IT THE ONLY THING IS U EITHER HAVE TO GET A NEW COMPUTER IF U GO FUEL INJECTED OR GO CARBURATED. BUT IF U GO TO THE JEEP 6 CYL. U HAVE TO GET A NEW COMP AND EVERYTHING ELSE ITS EASY TO DO BUT U ARE STILL LOOKING AROUND 3-5 GRAND BY THE TIME U GET EVERYTHING TUNED AND SO FORTH

I would go with the straight six that comes in most yj's and tj's.
look up straight six "stroker engine" I hear they are pretty good. but for the most affordable price you can buy a long block 258 or a 242 jeep engine (both are six's) at http://www.tbolt.net/ real good prices! and very good work on rebuilt engines!! I bought one for my jeep not too long ago!

This conversion can easily be done if you have experience working on engines. I also know there is a guy in my neighborhood with a Dodge Viper engine in one.
