The cooling fan is located in the rear of the radiator, it is a seperate item from the radiator. Your coolant sensor is located in the thermostat housing. Follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat. There you will see an electrical wire going into a plug that screws into the T-Stat housing. This is your coolant sensor. If the fan is not going on, you may have a defective fan relay as well. You can visit any Auto Zone auto parts store and they can point you in the right direction where all your sensors and relays are located.
good luck..............

There is probably a coolant temp. sensor in the intake manifold, which tells the computer when to turn the fan on and off. The computer will activate the fan by powering a fan switch and relay. The fan switch is probably in the lower part of the engine block, and the fan relay is probably with a bunch of relays under the hood. Check the relay first. This is often the cause for a "bad fan."

Well the cooling fan will be directly behind the radiator in a plastic housing (shroud) The sensor could be a little more difficult to find.. There are sometimes more than one that work together to give a combined reading on the dash. Try internet searching "Coolant temperature sensor" for your car or buy a hanes manual
