Why is it considered unhealthy for your car to drive around with a quarter tank or less of gas in your car? What are the consequences and why?

I bought this truck new in 92. It's getting rusty as one would guess. I filled with gas Friday night and parked it for the weekend (thought I had bad gas 'til I realized the pump wasn't on with the key. Went to start it Monday morning and nothing (no spark). rotor is turning, no power to the fuel pump or the coil pack. jump wired it and it ran last night. Went to leave for work this morning and nothing again. Fuel pump still working. Do you think it's the distributor itself? Thanks for your help!

the temp gauge only rises when the car is idle, like at a stop light or the heat is on, with the blower on. I have been told to flush the radiator, is that going to work or could it be a leak in head gasket?

My boyfriend and I share a car that he was driving in a parking lot last week. He was heading west at about 4:30pm with the sun shining right at him. There is only one entrance and one exit to this lot (not the same) Another car came barelling at him trying to go out the entrance and in an attempt to avoid a head on collision with the other car he had to veer to the left (there were parked cars on his right). What he didn't see was an unmarked and unrailed sunken loading dock immediatley to his left. the two driver's side tires came off the pavement and the car tipped onto its side into the loading dock, 5ft down. Luckily, he was unhurt. However, we are wondering that because the loading dock was unmarked and there was no rail, can we sue the owner of the property?

The car has 61000 miles on the clock and is a "Zetec" model. The garage wanted 4,295 but he said he would take 4,000. Is this a fair price for a car like this or am I paying too much?

Last Mon went to car dealership and they let me drive home a new 06 maxima. Credit not established so they gave me 20 days to come up w/ 3k. Now...he calls and says "we need 5k" in order for financing to go through! I called him several times yesterday...and he still has not returned my calls. Large dealership...Nissan/kia/dodge..Should I pay the extra 2k or tell him I will bring him keys? I love the car....but I don't know if it is just easier to pay the extra $. Anyone have any advice or experience in this?

I'm having a tough time deciding on what speakers to get. I need 2 sets of 5x7 or 6x8, and one of them is component. I've been looking at the Infinity kappa's the most, but also maybe polk, JL xr series(component), and kenwood excelon. Any feedback on these would be great.

first question:
-while in town and stopping from 35 MPH
do you hold in the clutch and shift down until you're in first and just hold it in until you're stopped, or shift down one at a time, letting the clutch out each time until you get to your stopping point?


second, i rode to work today, and my hair looks like hell....is there any good way to prevent that? haha

My spark plug(the second one) has popped off twice now. We replaced the spark plug, thinking that was it.. but obviously since it has happened more than once it's not. Someone said I might need a new coil? How much is this going to cost me.. I'm on a tight budget(being pregnant and all).

I now have no radio and a few other odd wiring problems. R & R fuse did no good and there is now a short in that circuit. Where is the most likely point of failure. I assume the electrical shock went down the antenna.

I expanded the push rod hole in the head gasket and can get a long magnet or lifter puller to the lifter but there seems to be a retainer preventing removal. Can I force the lifter past this retainer without damage. I have one lifter in #6 colapsing.
