The so called new mini has just been launched, but I can't tell the difference from the old "new" mini, and yet BMW say this one is all new?

Alex Issigonis sat four people on chairs, worked out how much space they needed and designed a car round it.
BMW did the same except they went down the Beer Kellar and sat 4 people on chairs etc
The "MINI" is as big, heavier, less roomy and has slower acceleration than my 20 year old MG Maestro.
I cant tell the difference between an 05 MINI and an 07 MINI because I simply dont care. they are a joke. Give me a 1.3i Mini Cooper any day.

From the outside, the most obvious change is the relocation of the direction indicators from the bumper to the lower part of the headlamp cluster. Once you notice that, you'll recognise the newer ones immediately.

The main changes are under the bonnet, new tuned 1.6 engine etc.

Its longer and squarer, which they have tried to compensate by making the front lower and more rounded, so to me it looks like an obese mouse. Wait until you see the new estate range. Such a joke.

headlights are slightly different to name but a few things
main difference though is the engine especially the cooper s
turboed peugeot lump (as found in the 207GTi) as opposed to the old supercharged chrysler engine
