My spark plug(the second one) has popped off twice now. We replaced the spark plug, thinking that was it.. but obviously since it has happened more than once it's not. Someone said I might need a new coil? How much is this going to cost me.. I'm on a tight budget(being pregnant and all).

Thanks for your time :)

This work is called a Heli-coil and if you are looking at keeping the car I would suggest going to a used parts emporium (junk yard) and getting a new head. Heli coils are put in when some chucklehead cross threads a spark plug.
In the long run you will be happier and the yard will guarantee it for a short time but that is just to make sure it works for you..... You can have a shop check the head before they put it on, check for flatness and cracks and clean it up..Your best bet. Don't put locktight on it as you will never get it out when it wears out. Unless you are going to sell it to some unsuspecting college kid with no money....

do you mean its coming out of the hole?if so then the threads must be stripped out.if it will tighten up,then take some lock-nut and put on the plug threads and then put the plug back in.try that and see if the plug stays in.
