I have a 2002 Ford Taurus, and I'm currently financing it. I've only had it since July of 2005, so my estimated negative equity would be around 3 or 4 thousand. I wanted to keep a monthly payment of 300/month. But since I'm too early into my financing, I'd have to wait for my payments to go down.

Anyway, I'm obsessing over a few cars that I want to have. These are my choices

* New Beetle
* New model Mustang
* Dodge Charger
* Chevy Cobalt
* New Eclipse

Please give me advice and let me know which one is best. Not only by appearance, but by safety, perfomance and endurance. Thanks.

....so far I'm really deciding between the Cobalt and the Charger.

I would like a realtime map that shows color-coded roads showing how congested they are or better yet directions for the fastest route between two points taking into account traffic.

I am curious has anyone out there purchased a used car from a no-hassle/haggle dealer and the dealer actually lowered the price? Specifically, the dealership is CarMaxx.

So the government want to charge us to drive per mile thus creating a revenue of 28 billion, another form of tax..
My question if the goverments aim is to reduce emissions, why don't they subsidise car drivers from the proffit made to covert petrol run cars to gas to enable cars to drive on Gas.
Gas is clean, cheap, and the easy solution to polution, the oil stays clean as the day it was put in,

Is it the government wants to reduce global warming, or is it they simply want to screw us even more ?

I have an '03 Eclipse with front wheel drive, new brakes, and new tires. The tires have helped a lot, but people here in Michigan swear that I still don't know how to drive in the snow (I moved from suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where anything over 2 inches generally means no one goes to work). Some tips?

Getting another vehicle isn't an option, and I do not live far from work so sometimes I can get a ride...but I would like to know how to drive in the snow. For example, I'd love to go get groceries right now...!
