A part called (flasher) its a relay that can look like a round cylinder or square plastic usually near the fuses or under the dash.

do you have a tilt steering wheel? in my dodge truck when i adjusted the wheel to the lowest position they wouldn't work properly, it seems that dodge has a design flaw in the tilt and blinker area. since the truck was brand i took it back to the dealer and they re-routed the wires and now it works fine.

4-way flasher unit - located in the fuse block. check that first, otherwise i suspect a faulty signal switch.

If the fuse is ok then replace the flasher if they don't blink but just stay on steady. good luck
