On my way to work I heard a ticking, then saw steam, then the car died so I pulled over to the side of the freeway. My freeze plug blew off inside the timming belt cover and I lost all the water, I was told there is no compression. I put water back in radiator and the car turns but doesnt catch. Can somebody tell me how can I fix my car.Is this a costly car repair problem?

So my '86 Toyota truck (manual, 22r) will die when i'm not in gear so whenever I coast down the road and don't have it in gear/have it in gear but the clutch in, or at stop lights/signs. I recently replaced the spark plugs, rotor and cap, all the vacuum lines, the air filter, and the clutch master cylinder... The odd thing though, is that it only dies once it is up to running tempurature... When the engine is cold it runs without dieing... I imgaine I could probably turn the idle up to fix this problem, but that seems more like i'm just ignoring the problem than repairing it... Also, if I'm sitting at a stop sign/light and have the truck in gear and the clutch in, it will still die... does anyone have any ideas? I thought it was vacuum so I replaced all the hoses but still have the problem... Could it be the fuel filter/pump? Maybe new rings? Any ideas... I'm open to any suggestions!

1) How does one R&R the AC-Heater blower under the dash? I can't even see it, but it sure vibrates on higher speeds......2) How does one R&R the factory radio (or the antenna lead to it) with the upgraded factory sound system? It has static on AM on bumpy roads. Are special tools required?......3) How wide spread is the oil-gel problem? We have 54,000 miles and have changed the oil every 3,000 to-5,000 miles?

Thank you in advance

Hey, I'm trying to find a car to buy next fall once I get my license and was wondering where I could find a good comparison of car prices. I'm looking at Mitsubishi, and I was also wondering how much the older Mercedes models cost.

Ok, so when I bought my truck this year, there was no cruise control. I want to get one installed and I was wondering if someone can help me find out where to buy the actual cruise control system, and if someone can help me find out where to get it installed ...

I live in Aiken, South Carolina, so Augusta, Georgia, or North Augusta, Columbia, SC ... that'd be helpful.. Thanks!

I try to use whatever the car's owner's manual says, and it does say 5w30 oil type for that 1.6cc engine, however it is really hard for me to find that oil type down here in Venezuela. I can easily get 10w40 oil type which is the one that actually Wal-Mart's computer always suggested for my model and make.

I imported the car, that's why I can't find that oil type here. However, I was wondering if you have any better suggestion than the 10w40 that I am actually using before my next oil change is due. Thanks...please reply only if you know about it....

I have tryed bikebandit.com, 50cc.nl and eBay.com but they all don't have my kind of throttle cable. Also will an Areo and a CH80 and CH125 throttle cable work on mine? Thanks.

I can back it up about 50 feet then take off & it shifts fine. Untill I come to a stop, It will not shift into high gear again untill I back up. Its like the wind up cars I had as a kid. I cant afford to have the transmission rebuilt. Is there hope for it?

I put the car in reverse and hit the gas and the blower comes on full speed. even if i turn the engine off it continues to run and i have to pull the fuse to get it to stop. if i just turn the car on but do not try to drive it, nothing happens. Any thoughts as to what might be happening? it is a grand prix SE with almost 70,000 miles. i am thinking that my battery might be going bad, could that cause a short?

My car just had the brake drums and brake line (?) replaced now my car feels as though it has power steering, it's much lighter than usual but comes and goes, could anything be seriously wrong with it? My Dad says it could be the mechanic pumped my tyres up but could this cause the problem?

Hi
Back in the 1970's Germany did all their roadwork’s at night to stop traffic jams. Some roads in particular by-pass roads could be done at night with out causing a nuisance to residents and could be made temporary ready for day time use. Even covering holes with steel sheets hence less traffic jams less pollution less anger and road rage so the money saved from police use etc would cover the extra wages. So has anybody got any idea as to why this not done?
