Get it scanned and find out why it is on then have the dealer reset it.

No, you cannot reset the service engine soon light on a 2002 Suzuki XL-7.

Sorry to say no. IF you have corrected the reason why the light was on, you have to have the light reset.
Take it to auto-zone and have them reset it for you . It is free.
However it will not reset it there is still a problum.
P.S. Some one here will tell you yes if you remove the battery cable . This did work with the earley modles but not with yours.
