I put the car in reverse and hit the gas and the blower comes on full speed. even if i turn the engine off it continues to run and i have to pull the fuse to get it to stop. if i just turn the car on but do not try to drive it, nothing happens. Any thoughts as to what might be happening? it is a grand prix SE with almost 70,000 miles. i am thinking that my battery might be going bad, could that cause a short?

if you are talking about the engine fan try the sensor . it might have gone bad causing the relay to burn out. if its not that and your talking about your blower for you ac try the blower motor resistor pack located in the passenger foot well
