I have already changed the oil, filter, plugs, put in stabil for the gas. It starts up when I spray some gas into the carb, but then dies out right away. I have a good flow of gas to the fuel pump, but I think that may after sitting for a while, something might be stuck in the pump. How do I get it running?

I have a 1996 Honda civic. For the past 2 days I smell a sweetish (slightly pungent) smell as soon as I park the car turn it off and get out (it goes away after a minute or so). I traced the smell to the point that its coming thru the radiator fins. Checked oil, coolant, ATF and dont seem to see any problems and their levels are fine too. Also no obvious signs of leaking coolant or white smoke coming out of exhaust. Would appreciate if anybody could give a hint as to what is causing this smell ?
BTW I can only smell it if I get out of my car after I turn it off and I have never noticed the smell inside the car....so theres no smell inside even if I turn heater or ac on (both working fine also I checked). Also the weather has turned a bit cold the past few days so dunno if that is one of the reasons for this?!?!

i know that the concorde was thee best pl;ane of all times, queen of thesk. I have a couple of questions thoyugh, Why didn't the Concorde have winglets and still achieve so many NM. the strips yousee under the cockpit and on the vertical stabilizer, are those canards?? and why don't they have tailplanes?? And if the Copncorde had the complex curved wing design, why did it need the canards??

Ok, so here is the deal:

-Glowing red catalytic converter
-Rattle/ticking noise
-engine running really rough (sounds like tractor)
-smells to be running EXCESSIVELY rich (smoke out the tailpipes)
-Pending CEL for too high voltage on Bank1 sensor 2 O2 sensor
-Extreme loss of power, engine sounds normal but not accelerating as fast as normal

From what I've read, this is either-

a) bad fuel injector
b) bad coil
c) bad cat

Anything else, and any way to narrow it down?

My 1989 Toyota Corolla (Carbuerated) was running rough, i put new plugs, wires, cap, and carbuerator rebuild kit on as well as changing the oil. runs good now but when the engine is warm and i go to shut it off it runs on for a few seconds. I tried two different brands of cleaner to clean carbon build up out of cylinders, both made the car smoke really bad for a couple minutes. Should i try this again to eliminate run on, or what should i try?

I just converted my car from gasoline to lpg. I noticed that when I am using lpg, inside my car has no smell. But when I am using gasoline, I can smell something like carbon monoxide or is it the gasoline burning that smells from the inside of the car. So my question is, which is more dangerous: smelling the burning gasoline or the odorless lpg?

I just got a forward saying this, and I don't know whether to believe it. It was saying that you don't have to pull over right away for an unmarked police car, you can put on your hazard lights or call #77 on your phone to indicate that you are going to stop at a gas station or somewhere else. Is this true?

When I run a lot of electric stuff in my truck at the same time (radio, wipers, lights, heat , Etc) when I shut the truck off is has a problem starting back up like the battery is dead. It's not because it's new. I have noticed there are 2 positive cables going into the battery. The red plastic is melted and seems to heat up. When I play with the cable it starts right back up. Has anyone ever heard of this? Thanks for your help.

I had a punctured rear tire on my all-wheel drive Jeep Cherokee. I only have money to replace the punctured tire, not all 4. Is this OK to do or can it cause problems or be dangerous?

The headlight go out after 20 minutes, but the radio and clock have not been effected so I did not think it was the alternator.

The headlights may come back on as soon as I hit the brakes. The dash lights are also effected.

Thank you for your time.

'91, 4 stroke, kick start, cdi ignition w/ battery. I dropped my bike and had a hard time starting it, I had to push it up a hill and then roll start it. I got it home and haven't been able to start it since. I was kicking it for 10 minutes at a time on several occasions since. It is not possible to turn the headlight off without putting the key in the off position, so the battery died on the first kick session. My bro-in-law said that I might need to charge the battery even though it's kickstart. I am getting a spark, the oil and sparkplug were replaced, the tank was drained and filled with new gas and some stp. I tried spraying starter fluid in the carb, no luck.
