'91, 4 stroke, kick start, cdi ignition w/ battery. I dropped my bike and had a hard time starting it, I had to push it up a hill and then roll start it. I got it home and haven't been able to start it since. I was kicking it for 10 minutes at a time on several occasions since. It is not possible to turn the headlight off without putting the key in the off position, so the battery died on the first kick session. My bro-in-law said that I might need to charge the battery even though it's kickstart. I am getting a spark, the oil and sparkplug were replaced, the tank was drained and filled with new gas and some stp. I tried spraying starter fluid in the carb, no luck.

I was afraid of that Super Cleat. Some of the forums mentioned that but I was hoping I wouldn't have to b/c I don't have any experience and I have to borrow a torque wrench. Any reason why it started after I dropped it? Hints on how to tell if it's TDC on compression vs. exhaust?

Adjust your valves, it is very common to see this condition when the intake valves get too tight. The primary cause of overly tight intake valves is improper air filter maintenance. good luck, hope I helped

You don't need a torque wrench to adjust the valves.
--Turn the crankshaft in the direction the motor turns.
--Watch the intake valves open, then close.
--Keep turning until the piston gets to the top of that stroke. That's TDC of the compression stroke.

Check the spark plug. When a bike falls over, excess fuel gets into the cylinder. When you try to restart, the excess fuel some times fouls the plug.

Is your air filter clean? Could be starved for air.
Is your gas on? (I know thats sounds dumb but it happens)
Did you remember to put the plug wire back on the plug? (" " " ")
The bike should still start with the drained battery.
Is it the right spark plug?
Make sure the intake boot is still attached to the carb. I've seen them fall of after a crash.
I don't know. Just remember you need air fuel and spark.
Good luck!
