The car has about 66,000 miles and has been properly maintained. I recently had an oil change. The tires are properly inflated and have less than 10,000 miles on them. It has NOT had a 60,000 mile tune-up yet though. What improvement could I expect with the tune-up? How much does one usually cost?

I´ve got the latest model Seat Ibiza(04 plate), 1.2 engine. Since I´ve had the car I´ve had no trouble with it at all, touch wood, but say three times over the past couple of years the air conditioning has failed to work. Instead of pumping out cold air, it produces HOT air. At first I thought it was a one off, or that I hadn´t switched it on properly, but the other day the same thing happened. As I say, it´s only happened on very few occasions, but does anyone know why this happens? Is it normal for aircon not to work on the odd occasion?

I've heard that many technologies that reduce emissions involve so much required energy to produce them in the first place that there is actually more energy needed. Also, with the plug-in variety of cars, unless the energy comes from a nuclear or renewable source, nautral gas, oil, or coal are going to be required to charge those cars batteries.

If allowed to cool for half an hour or more, the van will crank and run just fine. Problem seems associated with outside temps more than with engine temp.

I've never owned a Chrysler/Jeep product before. But I recently purchased a used 2005 Jeep Wrangler with about 12K miles on it. After driving it for about a month, I have started to notice a strange buzzing sound when the transmission is shifted from Park to Reverse. I've never had a car make a sound like this. Is this normal or should I have it checked out? It is still under the factory warranty, but the local service department says it's nothing to worry about. I just want to make sure they aren't blowing it off rather than having to make a warranty repair.

My car: 110,000 miles and 5 years old. A repair tech suggested me to replace a cable from the pedal to engine, which would cost me around $200 for parts and labor. Would this solution solve the problem clearly? Thanks for your comment.

I know that scrapyards pay for old cars, but I don't know the process to sell it to one -- like signing over the title, etc. I just don't want to give it to some auto shop to do it for me "for free," while they pocket the $$$. I want the $$$ for myself!

I have a '98 Ford Escort that pulls to the right when driving at constant speed or breaking, but when I accelerate (and the weight is off the front wheels), the steering goes back to normal.

Can someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it or how much I can expect to pay to sort this in a garage? Thanks in advance.

there are no visible signs of leaking. I had to add water to my radiator too! Could not find any busted hoses. Just had a new valve and lifter job. It was in the mid 30's this morning. Where did my water go?

On a used car, does anyone know how to tell if airbags have been used? It is my assumption that once used a dealer does not reinstall?
