Usually when you refinance it as long as all the payments have been made when they are due an it has been a good amount of time since you co signed then there really should not be a problem

Yes, as long as he qualifies by himself, just have him refinance it under his name. The company that you are currently financing with doesn't care, because they are getting their money. The current finance company may require that your name be removed from the title of the vehicle if your name is on the title.

This will release you from all financial obligations on that vehicle though.

Yes. My wife recently refinanced a car loan in her name only, after I cosigned for the original loan.
