Yes they do most likely with it being a import it could be an extra option but just so you know I was reading a story in Macleans and they were saying that all these new hybrids are not the economical because the electric motors don't even operate unless you are travelling under 50km/h and so unless you are in a continuous school or playground zone a regular 4 cylinder
is just as easy on the environment and alot easier on the initial
cost. Consider a new toyota yaris or the ever popular honda civic

Yes they do. It work well. Having the air conditioning reduces the benefit of a hybrid car. That is because the gas engine will be running all the time.

Well, I have the Honda Civic Hybrid, not the Toyota Prius, but it has AC and it works just great. It just wreaks havoc with the gas mileage! Which it does on ANY car, but you can really notice it with a hybrid.

The compressor is electric and runs off the battery. It will work when the engine is off. I don't know how well it works but would venture to guess that it works just as well as the AC in a gas camry/corolla etc.
