I'm looking into buying a used car and I found one with automatic transmission that I really liked...but this was on the "cons" list:

"Needed mechanically: differential and spider gears replaced/rebuilt in tranny or a used/rebuilt transmission installed. Car starts right up, however will not go into gear."

Since I don't know enough about cars, I have no clue what this means... can the car drive? Because since it's automatic transmission, I have no clue what "gears" has to do with this statement... Since I know people out there are much smarter than me, I would really appreciate your help~ Thanks!

I left the key in the ignition of my 1950 flathead and burnt out the coil so i replaced the coil, points and condenser and now its backfiring. I checked the timing and its correct so I have no idea what could be wrong. Do I have to take the dist. out of the engine and adjust the points or something? Or could there be something wrong with the dist. or something inside the engine? Thanks

Lost keys to car, house, etc, but still have the 'service' key, which operates the ignition, door locks, etc. Unable to open the petrol flap though as this is locked with the central locking.

Urgent help needed, as unable to fill up with fuel and therefore can't get it to a dealers to get a new key!

I am getting a dvd player installed in my truck but the only thing is that it won't play when the vehicle is in drive, only when the E brake is in place. For you dorks who think that I will be the one watching when I'm driving, it's not like that. I want it to play when I drive so that my passenger can watch when I go see my mom 5 hours away. How can I get in and manually rewire the system so that it thinks that I'm immobile when I'm driving? I know it can be done but I don't know how to do it. Thanks!!
