15 years for bikes to become a classic, 25 years for a car.

Twisted A is spot on except the date, I think it is before1st January 1973, rather than the change of letter date, it was 25 years for classic free tax until Blair altered it to a fixed date.
The last date for black number plates in UK is also around 1973, my K reg BSA Thunderbolt was ok for a black plate but not my M regd Triumph Tiger 750.
A Harley or decent Ducati is a classic as soon as it leaves the factory , but a 1971 Honda CD 175 is just an old bike, never a classic,

It depends on what you are refering to.

If it's insurance, it's generally over 25 years old (varies, depending on the insurance comany).

If it's road tax, it must have been first registered before June 1st, 1973.

If you just mean generally regarded as 'a classic', then that topic is huge and wide ranging - some people believe certain bikes are 'classics' as soon as they roll off the production line. Some bikes will NEVER be regarded as 'classic'...

you can get classic bike insurance on any bike over 15 years old try phoning carole nash insurance in england i have personally had classic insurance from them on a 15 year old bike

either 20 r 25 yrs antique then classic thats here in the USA.

I think its the same as cars which is def 25. It then becomes classed as a historic vehicle.

It was 25 years but maybe you should check with dvla
