I am getting a dvd player installed in my truck but the only thing is that it won't play when the vehicle is in drive, only when the E brake is in place. For you dorks who think that I will be the one watching when I'm driving, it's not like that. I want it to play when I drive so that my passenger can watch when I go see my mom 5 hours away. How can I get in and manually rewire the system so that it thinks that I'm immobile when I'm driving? I know it can be done but I don't know how to do it. Thanks!!

i just installed a new dvd player in my scion. its easy to get around the e-brake safety feature. just attach that wire to the dvd players ground on the back of the unit. it just needs to be grounded thats all. its most likely going to be a black wire.

Hint: What is it looking for with the E-brake engaged?
